It should be noted that these words are often used interchangeably.

The very existence of ancient monoliths and megaliths throughout the world is an anomaly by itself. They defy all the orthodox historical and anthropological knowledge, and are dealt with more as mythical, rather than physical structures. Of course, that is if one only accepts what the “experts” say are the known facts. The experts are correct when they say the cultures in which these “giants” are found possessed neither the tools nor the skills to build them. They are correct when they say the massive construction and the materials used are impractical, the locations are illogical, and construction methods required were unknown to those cultures. But, when it comes to who built them, why they were built, and how primitive peoples created technological marvels, they ignore the obvious. They drift into a world of murky speculation, outrageous antiquated theories, and unfeasible conclusions.

Science has created a very restrictive system which fits all things into very precise pigeonholes. If a given reality does not fit into its intended niche, they simply change the reality. If a culture leaves a record that says beings from the stars built these megaliths, there is a problem. The experts have no pigeonhole for extraterrestrials, so they reshape the reality and make it fit into another slot. The “Obsessed Monarch Enslaving the Entire Population for Years” is a classic pigeonhole. The ”Fanatical Religious Zealot Chipping a Boulder for Months to Make One Block” is another well-worn niche. Even entire religious theories are invented to explain the motivation for the structures.

When an ancient culture says flying vehicles were used to transport and place the massive components of a megalith over great distances, the experts don’t have slots for ancient flight. But they do have slots for thousands of slaves dragging million-pound monoliths over miles of rugged terrain. No matter how unreasonable, unworkable, or unrealistic their conclusions are, they are published as though they made perfect sense.

Here are some of the facts experts ignore as a matter of common practice:

Size of the Monoliths

The size of the monoliths that comprise these massive structures is the first, and the most important, fact ignored by the experts. There are two problems with the size. First, it makes no sense to use such massive components in construction. Why don’t we build our modern structures with big rocks? There are certainly plenty of cheap sources for big rocks and surely they would last longer. We don’t use large components in modern construction because there are no known methods for manufacturing and using such components on such a massive scale. Isn’t it odd that the experts think primitive cultures did have total knowledge of these methods? The second problem is transportation. Despite a highly sophisticated material handling system of cranes and vehicles in the modern world, we could not even begin to tackle such massive construction projects. A study on the Great Pyramid determined that modern construction techniques were not only inadequate to build this structure, but it could not even be torn down. Primitive labor using wooden rollers, crude ropes, and mud ramps did not move these giants.

No Tools

The ancient cultures to which these structures are attributed literally had no tools that were capable of cutting or finishing the components. They had no saws, hammers, chisels, measuring tools, or finishing tools that could shape stone. There are instances where the experts will display crude tools, mainly copper or stone implements, and claim these were used to form the components. What they fail to point out is that the blocks they were used to cut are harder than the tools that supposedly formed them. Copper was the only metal associated with megalithic cultures. Copper is so soft that it is not even used to make woodworking tools. Loggers don’t use copper axes and carpenters don’t use copper saws. There are no copper masonry tools in modern culture and no one used copper tools to shape even the softest of the monoliths. Rock tools are little more than useless.

No Wheels

In our modern culture the wheel is taken for granted. In ancient cultures it did not exist. No wheels, no carts, no pulleys, and no cranes. This is why, when experts depict ancient construction projects, they always show thousands of slaves dragging giant blocks over the ground or up mud ramps. Dirt ramps are the favorite graphic used in illustrations of such projects. Left out of the descriptions of the work and the estimate of the time and labor required, are the ramps themselves. What they fail to point out is the time and material required to construct and dismantle these ramps is often many times that of the construction of the megalith itself.

Blocks

Many of the world’s megaliths are constructed with blocks that are literally cut to fit perfectly into totally random patterns. Sometimes this is done over hundreds of feet of precisely fitted walls or throughout entire massive complexes. And not small blocks either, rather monoliths of a ton or more with as many as twelve separate edges cut to perfection. This is not the work of primitive slave laborers, with crude stone tools, and no experience. The experts are silent on this fact.

Quarry locations

Even more baffling, than how they built the megaliths, is where they got the blocks. In many cases the blocks were quarried not just miles, but hundreds of miles away. Sometimes the blocks had to be ferried across rivers, where no barges big enough to carry them or cranes to lift them existed. Many times the material at hand was ignored and distant quarries were used. At times, structures were built on high mountains from material quarried from other peaks. This required lowering massive blocks down one peak and dragging them up another. In some cases there are no quarries for thousands of miles, across continents, or even entire oceans. Again the experts are silent.

Joints in Structures

An amazing aspect in the construction of many megaliths is the tight fit of massive blocks of stone. Many structures are fit so well together that they required no mortar and have not shifted a millimeter over thousands of years of existence. Seams are found so tight that a razor blade cannot be slipped between neighboring components. We cannot be expected to believe that slaves, hacking away with crude implements, achieved perfection. The experts insult our intelligence when they claim this is how it was done. In one case where adhesive was used, in the Great Pyramid at Giza, Egypt, the adhesive itself proved to be an anomaly. When tested for composition, it was found not to contain any of the 65,000 known substances on Earth. After at least 4700 years, the adhesive is still perfectly binding the 2.5 million blocks to which it was applied. The experts don¹t even try to theorize about this. The intentional 1/50th of an inch gap engineered into each of the more than 15 million cuts to accommodate the adhesive is conveniently ignored.

Angles and Squares

Even a novice construction worker is aware that setting angles and determining square, in even a simple structure, requires knowledge of modern mathematical formulas, not to mention the tools required. It becomes even more complicated when it comes to hundreds, or thousands, of feet. Precise right angles, areas of thousands of feet laid out in perfect square, and difficult angles repeated flawlessly, countless times are the rule rather than the exception. All this requiring complex mathematical knowledge, not even discovered until the structures themselves are thousands of years old. Again the experts show no visible signs of intelligence, often dismissing this as lost knowledge. Lost knowledge is the pigeonhole often used when the experts are clueless, a state they are often in, but unable to admit.

Plumb and Level

Plumb and level are the two most important words in construction and the norm in many ancient megalithic structures, freestanding monoliths, and entire complexes. Plumb is vertical alignment and level horizontal. Accuracy in either one of these aspects, without the use of sophisticated tools is impossible to attain in megalithic or any large construction. Miscalculations of fractions of an inch at one point can mean mistakes of many feet at another. However the ancient unskilled labor force, without the use of tools did this consistently over the entire globe, according to the experts. Again the “lost knowledge slot” has come in handy for disguising glaring ignorance.

Materials

Another enigma present in megalithic construction is the impractical choice of building materials. Gargantuan blocks were supposedly dragged for miles, when usable material quarry sites were available mere yards from the construction site. Harder stones were used when softer materials were easily accessible, without regard to weight, or difficulty of forming harder and heavier materials. It seems the ancient builders often literally went out of their way to make their task more difficult.

Alignments

Many monoliths and megaliths are aligned to the movements of the sun, the moon, and even the stars. Many are aligned to other structures on the globe, or points obviously unknown to the ascribed primitive builders, who didn’t even have a compass. Ancient “star worship” is the expert’s lame explanation for this phenomenon. The experts don’t have any answers when asked why a culture would worship a pinpoint of light in the night sky. The ancients often say they were aligned that way because the true builders came from those stars. This, of course, is quickly dispatched into the “religious myths” slot.

Records and Plans

Even with the advent of computer design programs, reams of drawings, records, and specifications are still required for even minor construction projects. This of course is impossible in a culture that didn’t even have a written language, but why were their no drawings, or any type of records for such massive projects? And, why is this true at virtually all the thousands of monoliths and megaliths around the world? This enigma isn’t even addressed.

The Enigma of Regression of Knowledge

Perhaps the most perplexing aspect of ancient construction is the absence of progress either before or after. There is no evidence that there was an evolution of construction knowledge before these advanced construction projects took place. No lesser structures are in evidence before massive structures suddenly appear with obvious unbelievable success. And, what was the state of progress after such wondrous construction accomplishments? They were dismantled for use in inferior building projects.

Many other unanswered questions and unexplained enigmas about these giants exist. Why did widely scattered and diverse cultures all over the planet have a strikingly similar obsession with gigantic building blocks? How can the experts even try to determine the age of these giants when they have no points of reference or weak ones at best? And, the most important question is also the most perplexing. Why do the experts ignore the fact that every shred of evidence proves these megaliths and monoliths were built by an advanced race of beings whose knowledge, skills, and tools rival, and often surpass, those of the 21st Century? Why do the experts ignore the ancient writings of the eyewitnesses, often the only records available to them? They are ignored because they speak of an advanced race of beings with wondrous powers, which modern culture would consider advanced technology.

Megaliths take many forms. They are distinguished by massive stones, monoliths, which are their main structural components.. Pyramids and obelisks are the most common and easily recognized megaliths. The other common megalith types include dolmens, menhirs, and tumuli. Dolmens usually contain one or more chambers or rooms thought to be used as burial chambers or temples. Menhirs are large standing stones, or groups of standing stones, arranged in circles, or cromlechs, and henges. Tumuli are tombs which are covered with earth to form mounds. Statues and other large single standing stones are often monoliths.
Almost every megalith is given a designation as a temple, altar, idol, or other religious title. It is, of course, once again, the standard of experts to give this classification due to the local cultures associated with them as always being considered religious zealots for building them. In other words, it is beyond their limited view to see any other purpose for them. The singular view that almost every cut or engraved object found in any Mesoamerican culture had to be used for blood rituals, is a classic example of this narrow scope of thinking. It is hard to perceive that these cultures all had a very strong infrastructures, with governments, agriculture, trade, transportation systems, education, recreation, art, and many other vibrant aspects to them. With every object found at a site being classified as a palace for a god-king, a temple, an altar, an idol, or a tomb, the true aspects of a culture are lost in a haze of false religious trappings.
