At birth we are given a name and by that name we are identified from others. As we grow we take on an occupation and another label that identifies to others what we do. Each time we assimilate another skill or take on another responsibility it comes with another label that we can add to our résumé. Throughout our lifetimes we accumulate perhaps dozens of different labels that define various aspects of our lives, but they are only words; names, occupations, culture, religious affiliation, race, social status, and the list is endless. These labels are simply categories into which you have put yourself or identify yourself by they are by no means a reflection of the spirit that is within or the spiritual journey you are making. Given all of the labels you have accumulated over time it tells no one of the quality of you as a spirit, nor how you touch and impact humanity or of the talents and gifts you carry within to share with others.
What does define you and broadcasts energetically and with great resonance is your actions, not your intensions but your actual actions towards others. No matter how great your resume if you are not a living example of all you claim then they are just empty words and will only demonstrate your insincerity rather than your worth. Every label restricts and confines you by the interpretation of others. No two individuals ever have the same perception of a given topic or label so you are constantly put into categories according to the understanding of others.
This is a time of awakening and expansion of awareness within all of humanity. All are seeking new understanding and clarity of vision, understanding of their place within humanity and the cosmos … and so they are seeking new labels that will define who and what they are, and so will restrict themselves even more instead of expanding with the consciousness that is within.
For those who are seeking in the spiritual realms this is even more difficult for each is unique, and is supposed to be. Every new label used by some becomes abused by many. Labels are not appropriate in this element especially for they seem to become ego based words that denote something special, a level of awareness above and beyond others.
A true spiritual individual is not defined by the words they attach to themselves but rather by their actions, the integrity with which they live their lives and the kindness and love they share with all, not just a select few . They have honor and humility and are willing to help and share with all, not just those who can afford them. These individuals walk their talk, have learned the lessons they teach through their own experience and share with love, light and laughter, not ritual or solemnity.
Labels have their place, they serve small purposes. They tell you what a person thinks they are and wants to be, but not the actual reality. When trying to gauge the worth of an individual look at their actions, how they treat those around them and how they impact their environment. Those seeking the spotlight and claiming their import probably aren’t and no matter how spiritual they tell you they are, if their actions don’t match their words and they have to tell you, most probably they are trying to convince not only you but themselves as well.
When dealing with the spiritual realms let your actions broadcast your intensity and intent … don’t try to use words, they limit you and hold back the potential of your spirit. Your actions and deeds will carry your inner truths and identify you to others who choose this silent example of the love within you.
