Why do bad things happen to good people? – Before we reincarnate and reenter the earth plane we do a review of what has been gathered previously and determine what challenges and situations we need to further evolve. During each lifetime they are presented to us so that we can grow, learn and evolve to a greater extent. The challenges are supplied to us but we have no say as to how they are presented, what the circumstances would be or when they would occur. The challenges are the manner in which we evolve into higher levels of the spirit realms. We are supplied with the situations that will enable us to reach deeper depths within and greater insight and enlightenment throughout. We are never given a challenge we are not able to rise above nor are we ever given a challenge we did or request. Sometimes it feels unfair, sometimes it doesn’t make sense and sometimes it feels like bad things happen to good people … but that is never the case. There is a saying out there that goes, “I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish he didn’t trust me so much.”
We create our realities by our perceptions. It is how we perceive our challenges that determines our realities. Bad things do not happen to good people. They are usually the ones that have requested great challenges because they were ready to challenge themselves. They can choose how to approach those challenges and how to deal with. They can take them a gift to grow from or they can let them defeat them for this lifetime. It is really important to look at the large picture and to understand that the spirit is ever evolving and expanding and it is from our experiences that this happens.
